Fall....what a wonderful time of year.  Fall brings many changes, the turning of the leaves to beautiful colors of red, yellow, orange, brown.  The temperature begins to cool down (if you live in Las Vegas, you are truly grateful for)! It signals the end of summer and time to think about winter.  But for many of us Fall brings the month of October and Breast Cancer Awareness month.  I was in Walmart last week and they already have their breast cancer apparel out.  For me personally, it will be a tough couple of months as everywhere you look will be constant reminders of breast cancer awareness.  I will be coming upon my 2 year anniversary in December of being cancer free and for the most part I try not to think about breast cancer, I live my life and deal with side effects of medication and seeing the oncologist on a regular basis, but there is always an underlying fear of the cancer returning.  Breast cancer truly blind sided me as there is no family history.  For the most part I ate healthy, exercised, etc. but as we all know cancer shows no mercy whether you are a infant, child, teenager, adult.  One of the things that angers me about breast cancer is the number of women being diagnosed today with breast cancer than years ago....It seems to me, breast cancer is on the rise.  Just this past month alone I know 4 women who have been diagnosed!  We seem to be very good about finding treatments...how about finding the root cause.  It has been far too long!
